Area Attractions

The area that the Twin Bridge Resort is located in is an outdoor recreation paradise.

The Peshtigo River State Forest and High Falls Flowage is right across the street, along with Twin Bridge Park. Right around the corner is the Governor Thompson State Park on Caldron Falls Flowage.

The million acre Nicolet National Forest is just to our west, and the ~230,000 acre Marinette County Forest is a few miles north.

The snowmobile and ATV trails start right at our door and can take you to the state-wide trail systems. We are in the heart of the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail System, one that we think offers some of the best trails in the state.

Fishermen, this is the place. High Falls Flowage and the smaller Caldron Falls Flowage to the north are class A musky water with good populations of walleye, northern, bass and panfish.

There are also about 1,000 miles of prime trout streams in the county, and with all of the spring fed creeks and rivers, we have more miles of Class 1 trout stream than any other county in the state. (Map link– 2.9MB PDF)(Stream inventory link)

Marinette County is also the waterfall capital of Wisconsin. The county has a tour of 12 different falls that are in county parks. Access varies from visible from the parking lot to a somewhat challenging hike.

There are also hundreds of smaller falls to find in the county forest and the area in general.

If you are up for some excitement our area offers some of the best whitewater rafting in the midwest. The Peshtigo and Menominee Rivers are world famous for their class II to classIV whitewater. The local rafting outfitters also offer lazy river tubing and sit on top kayaks for touring the Caldron Falls Flowage.

The fall colors in the area are spectacular. With our wide variety of species in our hardwood forests we have a long fall color season.

With our hilly terrain you can find vistas to overlook large areas of the fall beauty and scenery that rivals the famous New England fall colors.
